I have naturally dark brown hair and have my hairdresser put bleach highlights through every 3 months. I then put a temporary crazy colour over once a month. A few days before the hairdresser does her bit, I put a temporary brown box dye on my roots to cover the inch or so of grey regrowth. This works fine because the highlights then go in followed by the crazy colour.
But after about 6 weeks the greys are quite noticeable, the crazy colours don’t catch on the grey and the last time I attempted to put brown dye on the roots it caught more of the hair than I wanted and ended up with about 2 inches of brown roots.
How can I touch up the roots without catching the highlighted bits? Anyone got any top tips?!
