Electric shaver over epilator?

My epilator is coming on for 20 years old and is breaking off the hairs rather than pulling them out - I think it’s time to replace. Are electric shavers any good? Or am I better off replacing with another epilator?

I’ve tried regular shaving but whenever I do my legs burn and itch - I just can’t take it!

If you epilate then you would know there’s a difference between epilating and shaving. An electric shaver is still just shaving.
Personally I think if you epilate now then you’re best continuing that because the effect lasts longer. I used to epilate but moved on to shaving only because I was using a home laser hair removal system and you have to shave to use that.

Most epilators now come with a shaver attachment so you could do both but in different areas or whatever
