Foundation.. Two parts!

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I'm looking for recommendations of a nice foundation.. Unfortunately I don't have a huge budget so kind of high street prices. Something with nice coverage but not 'cakey'.
Then, secondly, what do you all use to apply foundation with? I've been using a sponge but is a brush better? Help!

I use Estee Lauder double wear light - and use my fingers, Ive used brushes (bodyshop are the best at a good price) and sponge and I tend to use fingers and foundation brush for the best coverage.

I love, love, love Clinique even better glow. I put it on with a damp sponge.

When I'm on a budget I use boots no 7 hydraluminous foundation. I have normal skin with a slightly oily t zone and it's great for that. Not quite as long lasting as the Lancome one I buy when I'm flush but definitely a good budget buy

This one: www.boots.com/no7/no7-gift-with-purchase/no7-hydraluminous-moisturising-foundation-10262468

They will colour match you in the shop with a little machine

clucky3 · 21/06/2019 20:49

Should also have said, it's £15 but often on offer at a tenner

ForgiveMeFatherForIHaveGinned · 21/06/2019 21:11

I would second the No 7 hydra luminous recommendation, I love it even when not on a budget! Plus the no 7 colour matching service means that you’ll be able to get the right shade.

Max Factor Infinity or the Maybelline one with the blue lid (sorry - can't quite remember...) - good coverage and natural looking, and work very well with fingers or a dampened Real Techniques sponge.

Both options a tenner-ish in Boots

Buget id go for revolution conceal and define, i find a sponge is good with it
Higger end too faced or nars are great, brush with nars and sponge for too faced

I love Clinique Even Better Refresh. It's a new one with better coverage than the Glow or the normal Even Better. I use my fingers to apply

FattyBumBum1 · 22/06/2019 06:18

Thanks everyone, I'm going in to town today so will have a look!

Max Factor Lasting Performance applied with a damp beauty blender

SheStoodInTheStorm · 22/06/2019 11:20

L'Oréal true match with fingers or a brush.

BlueMerchant · 22/06/2019 11:25

Maybelline 'Fit Me' with fingers. Really like it. Good coverage.Perfect for my skin.
Use Loreal True Match occasionally and find it great if you want a no make-up feel.
