Temporary silver hair dye

Ds wants to dye the tips of his hair silver. His hair is quite dark, so can anyone recommend a temporary dye?

Temporary dye won’t lighten dark hair op, he would have to bleach it first

Unfortunately temporary silver dye would only show up on light blonde hair - it wouldn’t be visible on dark hair at all. Hair colour isn’t that easy I’m afraid, if he wants silver hair it would involve a permanent lightning process of bleach & toner.

However boots sell this. They market it as makeup rather than dye, and for brunette hair. Cheap enough to be worth a try?
