Which eternity ring do you think goes with my engagement ring better?

My wedding band is a slim plain platinum band.

I don't think your engagement ring needs an eternity band next to it, as it's quite large.

Your engagement ring is beautiful btw

Tipsylizard · 19/06/2019 19:20

Thank you...I do love it. Here is a pic with my wedding band...I couldn't try all three together as they didn't have my size in stock and I couldn't get my wedding band off my fat fingers!! Do you think an eternity band would be too much? DH is keen to buy me one.

Opinions please.

Would you be planning on having a engagement, wedding and eternity band on one finger?

junebirthdaygirl · 19/06/2019 19:33

Well l would never say no to a nice new ring but you could wear it on your other hand.

Expressedways · 19/06/2019 19:35

Your engagement ring is lovely but I personally wouldn’t wear another band with it- I think it would push the gorgeous look over into OTT. I’d totally get one of the lonely eternity bands and wear it on another finger and/or the other hand though! Don’t say no to a nice new ring.

Tipsylizard · 19/06/2019 19:37

@PepsiLola - that was the plan. My wedding band and the eternity ring are quite slim (2mm) so I was hoping it wouldn't look too much.

Definitely the first one. It has the milgrain setting that matches the vintage look of your engagement ring the other one is channel set and is the wrong look with the engagement ring.

Ninkaninus · 19/06/2019 22:03

I think with an engagement ring like that I would go for coloured stones in an eternity ring, just to add a little bit of interest - you’ve got so many lovely diamonds in the original ring that it ends up looking a bit OTT and almost cancelling each other out in terms of beauty IMO. I’d choose sapphire, ruby, yellow diamond or pink diamond.

But if it’s definitely between the two pictured I would agree that the first one suits it much better - it’s in keeping with the style of the engagement ring.

OhTheRoses · 19/06/2019 22:11

I prefer the one on the right. I think you need to have your wedding band adjusted before making a final choice. I wear three on my ring finger and they look fine. I do think you need to see how they look with a properly fitting wedding band before making a decision though.

Your wedding band and engagement rings are v different styles so I think you will have to take care to ensure they all complement each other.

EatenByDinosaurs · 19/06/2019 22:18

I agree the first one matches better, and the three will look beautiful together, absolutely won't look OTT.

That said I'm not a fan of subtle for wedding/engagement/eternity rings Grin

The first one looks a lot better.

gerbilfun · 19/06/2019 22:28

Love them both but I'm gonna way the 2nd one

DramaRamaLlama · 19/06/2019 23:38

First one is a classic vintage style which suits your engagement ring better.

NiteFlights · 20/06/2019 10:30

If you’re going to wear them together, poopypants is right - the setting on the second one doesn’t go with the engagement ring though it would be nice on its own.
