I've just dropped my oak mulberry bag in a massive puddle outside my house - it's a classic Bayswater in Oak and it filled with water!!!!

I've emptied it out (contents mostly ruined, tried to dry off under hairdryer - what should I do to minimise damage?!?!!

Do you have any neutral leather cream? When it is dry give it a rub with some of that. Mulberry sell it but so does shops like John Lewis etc

I spoke to mulberry and they said to let it dry thoroughly first? It is saturated - I acted quickly but it just filled entirely with rain water!

Do not put it anywhere with heat.
Wipe it with a soft cloth, and wrap a cloth around it to gently soak up any water but don't leave it on.
Put soft towels (nothing with dye) inside it to keep the shape and let it dry naturally, changing the towels for dry ones.

Once it is dry, take a good look at it before applying anything and then ask Mulberry for advice.

Posted too soon.

It may have water marks on it when dry, hence not putting anything on it straight away, you need to asses it before taking any action.

My mum spilt a bottle of red wine on mine. I cried. A lot. Mulberry were amazing - I sent it to them and it came back new!
