Heavy fascinator

I have a large hairband fascinator that I intend to wear to an event next month. It's quite heavy and I have very fine soft hair. When I try it on it's quite wobbly and I'm a bit worried that it will fall off. I've tried hatpins before on hats but they were a bit of a problem due to me not having a lot of hair. Does anyone have any tips?

Maybe a styling product give your hair more grip?

Are you getting your hair done for the event? The hairdresser could put the fascinator in for you.

Back comb your hair just below where you fix it. It gives the hair texture to attach to

Honestly, if it's not stable on your head, don't wear it. It will preoccupy you all day. No matter how pretty, I'll fitting shoes and hats are just not worth it.

@MoltonSilver I usually do but it's so big I won't be able to fit my head in the car to drive home afterwards

@spugzbunny I'll try the back coming thing, good idea

@poopypants I know, I've even bought sensible (ish) shoes for the first time ever but the fascinator is unfortunately non returnable

Thanks for the advice people
