Are beige trainers versatile??

I’m new to the world of trainers (I know!), but gradually creating a nice collection. I have white Adidas Sleeks, black/leopard print converse (suede) & khaki converse (suede).

I’m REALLY tempted to buy the beige version of the khaki trainers. I’m thinking with khaki jeans/chinos? Maybe grey jeans? What do you think?? Or are they too similar to white? Medium blue jeans? The white are more sporty I think.

No, stick to white, white is more contemporary.

Nothing good ever came from wearing beige.

HundredMilesAnHour · 17/06/2019 18:34

Beige trainers are for old ladies on cruises. Don't do it.

happytobemrsg · 17/06/2019 18:50

Oh no really??? Even Converse ones? 😞

MohairMenace · 17/06/2019 21:18

I’ve looked at them again OP and they make my heart shrivel up a little bit, I’m sorry FlowersGrin

My daughter (24yrs) has a pair of Beige Nike Airforce 1

Not at all old fashioned, I wanted to get a pair too but she wasn't impressed by that idea!

Landlubber2019 · 17/06/2019 21:30

I wear beige trainers and prefer them and despite the earlier comment , I am no old cruising wrinkly 😂😂😂

Llongyfarchiadau · 17/06/2019 21:34

I had wanted to say 'Go for it!' but when I clicked on the picture, it was clear that the flowery edges on a beige shoe doesn't look very contemporary at all.

happytobemrsg · 17/06/2019 21:47

I’ve given in & remover them from my basket Grin thanks everyone!!

I have a nude pair of Adidas Stan smiths and I wear them ALL THE TIME! To work, casual, with dresses. Not old ladyish they are fab! I also have white trainers but wear the nude ones 100x more

MondeoFan · 17/06/2019 22:29

It's a no from me I just don't think they'd suit anyone
They will be in the sale soon as no one bought them

Plump82 · 18/06/2019 06:31

I really like them. In fact theres a woman across the platform at the train station right now with a leopard print midi dress and beige trainers and her outfit looks fab! If they do go in the sale, i might just buy them.

happytobemrsg · 18/06/2019 07:20

@Plump82 if you sign up to converse they will give you 15% off

I agree with pp that nothing good ever came from beige.

Moondancer73 · 18/06/2019 07:39

Beige? Just why? Good choice in removing them :)

happytobemrsg · 18/06/2019 08:07

Haha I liked the khaki ones so much I went back to see what other colours they had: pale pink (I don’t wear pink), royal blue (surely that would be harder the match to an outfit than beige!), & beige. So I clearly wrongly settled on beige!
