I bought them as they are slip on so easy to get on while holding a dog lead & a baby but now I have them home I'm having doubts.

I don’t actually hate them but I wouldn’t choose them either

DottieLottie1 · 17/06/2019 14:31

No, I think it's the thick white band that spoils them. I don't mind a little bit of bling on a trainer mind you Wink

moreismore · 17/06/2019 14:33

Another no, sorry. Agree it’s the band spoiling them

managedmis · 17/06/2019 14:35

The band looks like a medical aid

TantricTwist · 17/06/2019 14:39

I like them from the side. They are a copy of Balenciaga runner trainers from a few seasons ago. I like them.

OneFootintheRave · 17/06/2019 14:49

Sorry. It's a no from me. They look orthopaedic due to the band.

Ellapaella · 19/06/2019 10:40

Sorry op I think the band across just looks a bit odd. Not a fan of those.

FleurNancy · 19/06/2019 10:41

Not ones for me OP, sorry.

SisterMaryLoquacious · 19/06/2019 10:42

I rather like them. The band gives them edge IMO.

SisterMaryLoquacious · 20/06/2019 14:20

Just reminded of this thread because I walked past an extremely cool and well-groomed young woman in the City wearing some black Michael Korda trainers with a similar elastic strap. I feel vindicated.

BlueMerchant · 20/06/2019 14:25

I wouldn't wear them. That band is horrible.Bandage-like.

MatchSetPoint · 20/06/2019 14:47

No not for me I’m afraid.

MrsSpenserGregson · 20/06/2019 14:50

The style and bling are fab. the white band is horrible

TheCatThatDanced · 20/06/2019 14:52

No, the band makes them look orthopaedic.

Greenglassteacup · 20/06/2019 14:52

No we don’t !

TheCatThatDanced · 20/06/2019 14:52

The style and bling is ok on them maybe from the front but I'm not keen.

TheCatThatDanced · 20/06/2019 14:54

SisterMary - those MK ones are equally vile and mostly they're worn to show off the tacky MK logo.

SisterMaryLoquacious · 20/06/2019 14:57

I’m not a big fan of logos myself, but random sophisticated young woman looked very good in them with wide legged cropped black trousers.

I’m looking to refresh my wardrobe at the moment, having not bought much for the last couple of years so I’m gawping at every well groomed woman I pass trying to work out what’s a good look for 2019.

NoBaggyPants · 20/06/2019 15:03

Although I appreciate the benefits of all things elasticated, the trainers aren't great.

But they are better than the Michael Kors ones.

MrsGaryLightbody · 20/06/2019 15:08

Nope ! I once got absolutely robbed on here for my northern shoes and even I wouldn't wear those !

MrsGaryLightbody · 20/06/2019 15:08

Ribbed not robbed doh !

IHaveBrilloHair · 20/06/2019 15:13

No, another one saying it's the band, it makes them look really odd.

MissBridgetJones · 20/06/2019 15:52

No - sorry. They are not good.
