Lobe piercing timescale question

So I was an obedient Mumsnetterand had my ears pierced at a proper studio, with a needle, as every thread insisted. Good, that’s out of the way Wink

My question is, how many months do people think I have to go before I can take them out overnight? I believe that they can heal over quite quickly in the first few months so a few minutes is OK, then maybe an hour (not even tried that yet) but not several hours. I‘m finding it quite annoying to sleep with them in, even the original studs, so would like to get to a point where I can risk leaving them out.

After the initial healing period I would suggest you get some tiny sleeper hoops in gold or silver. They are much more comfortable to sleep in. I tend to keep my teeny hoops on all the time unless I'm wearing bigger earrings for a special occasion Smile

Can only wear studs at work and don’t want to be taking in and out every day...

Get the studs changed to labret studs, they have shorter posts and flat backs, so nothing to dig in and they’re far more comfortable (speaking from experience).

You’ll be able to get these from any piercing studio, they’ll even sterilise and put them in for you.

Could be a plan, thanks!

And is there a recommended time when someone could sleep overnight without any?
