Help with The Ordinary foundation tones

Bit of a long shot but wondering if any mumsnetters could help with this one. I use No7 Matt Foundation, mainly because it’s easy to pick up at local Boots but I really want to try The Ordinary foundations. How do I pick one because there are so many! I use cool beige in No7 which looks like it blends well to me. I have rosy red cheeks and prone to a few blemishes from adult acne and pregnancy related pigmentation.
Thinking 1.2 Yellow or yellow/gold
Where can I test them instore or should I just gamble on one?!

If you have rosy red cheeks (like me), it doesn't necessarily mean you have a pink undertone to your skin. I just got matched by Estee Lauder to find I'm a 1N2, when I thought I'd be a 1P2.
Always match to the neck, so I'm told, but yes, matching up to a colour chart online is near impossible! I have so many foundations to ditch/sell from not getting it quite right!

Ofme yes thats the problem I don’t want to end up with wrong shades but not sure where I can get tested near here- I never seem to have a second without a small child when I’m not at work!

I used the Temptalia foundation matrix to match you given that you have a good match in the No7 and it recommends 2.0P.

I use that foundation matrix all the time, it’s a great tool.

No problem! Hope it works out for you, I’ve compared it to a few foundations that I know I’m a good shade match for and it’s always been spot on.

It's always been really reliable for me - put in your usual colour matches and it will tell you the right shade for other brands
