Spray tan virgin

I'm considering a spray tan ahead of my holiday. I'm v. Scottish so pale blue and I don't tan. Never have. Big fab of factor 50.

I'm also big (16 stone ) so will have to gird my loins to get my kit off in front of the appropriate professional.

Is it worth the trauma? I appreciate it wont make me look smaller but will it improve my very very white flabby bits?

I love a spray tan. Feel like a new woman with a tan on the go!

Go for it. Those beauticians have seen worse.

I'm a beauty therapist and we see all sorts. I'm a size 22 myself so never judge. Ask for a really natural tan, its normally measured in percentages so I would suggest a 6 or an 8.
Try to get personal recommendations and even arrange to meet therapist before hand for a patch test and to make sure you are comfortable.
I must have done 100's of tans and the only 2 people I remember are a lady with pants on that said "BOO" across the bum and a gent wearing a ladies thong.
Xx

Thanks for the encouragement. I reckon I could steel myself to do it.

But- will it make my flabby bits look better / less bad? Or just less glaringly white (which is probably something useful anyway!)

I say go for it OP! You won't know unless you try and a tan can work wonders for self confidence... I find anyway!

I had my first one today. It was fine. I was more self conscious about getting my stomach out than my boobs! The lady that did it was lovely and it didn’t take very long. I am off on holiday so wanted to take the brightness of my pale skin away - it worked and you can have it as light or dark as you want.

Cool. A few practical questions:

  • I've read conflicting things about what happens if you go swimming
  • how long before the holiday do I go?
  • do you wash it off when you get home? If not, do your sheets get marked?
  • I assume I can shave my legs and bits before?

I always feel thinner with a tan. Makes me look so much better!

@Blankiefan
I've read conflicting things about what happens if you go swimming- they say not too but I get tans for holidays and always go swimming and it's fine.

  • how long before the holiday do I go? Day before if you can.
  • do you wash it off when you get home? If not, do your sheets get marked? No wash it off the next morning- put on dark sheets if you can
  • I assume I can shave my legs and bits before? Shave 24 hours before- this is the bit I struggle with the most cos my hair grows back so fast!
