What style jeans are the fashionable wearing now? (Clueless new mum and desperate)

I had a baby a year ago and feel pretty down about my appearance.

All my jeans (which are a bit hipster) look rubbish now. I’m size 8/10 so by no means fat but I have a bit of a tummy so my jeans dig in and are not flattering at all.

What style should I be going for? I’m thinking maybe I need something a bit more high waisted?
I still want to look fashionable and not frumpy!

I still love skinny!
And l still see loads of young women in them too -so they can’t be that passé 🙂
I’ve noticed they are pretty high waisted though... which is probably the twist!

I like relaxed skinny/boyfriend type rolled up in summer. I still go back to skinnies in winter though, because it’s too cold for anything on your feet except boots and skinnies look best with them.

Jeans shopping stresses me out! I don't like the super stretchy denim as they seem to get really baggy on me.
I bought a pair of Zara jeans from a charity shop, didn't bother trying them on but they were huge round the waist.
Lovely soft denim with not too much stretch.
Bought the same jeans in a smaller size from ebay, but they're too tight on my knees which sort of pulls down the waist so constantly hoiking them up.
Mum/boyfriend jeans just look silly on me (my flesh expands and fills them up lol).
I had some great non stretch jeans from Lidl about 6 years ago which fit me lovely but they're falling apart now and the others they make are totally different.
I've splashed out on some Jasper Conran shaping jeans from Debenhams and they fit perfectly.
I have a huge box full of my jeans mistakes waiting to go on ebay!

I had a baby 8 months ago and I'm wearing ASOS Ridley high-waisted skinnies.

Had a look in Next and Topshop today, the boyfriend and mom jeans were on the sale rack and the rails were full of differing skinny jeans.
