What will do with this dress?

Hi I don't usually wear dresses, mainly because I never find any that suit and also that my legs are atrocious with various veins front and back Blush.

I saw this dress while shopping today and treated myself, it was in the sale and looked really nice on, comes to below the knee so covers a lot of hideous leg. I was wondering if anyone could suggest what to wear with it to cover said hideous legs and also shoes, could it be dressed up and down? I haven't got a particular occasion to wear it for at the moment but it's so rare that I find a dress that looks nice that I thought I'd grab it. Any advice gratefully received!

That's lovely. Do you mind if I ask where it's from?
I'd dress it both up and down.
Down with trainers and a little demon or leather jacket, and up with heels and some nice jewellery.

Alongside the advice you could also wear or with sandals during the day.

Sheer tights to give you leg confidence, but would echo the pp- would look great with trainers (just been to Germany- everyone wears lovely dresses with trainers there!), or really dressed up. It’s a very versatile dress!

I have that style dress in a different colour/print, and wear it with a denim jacket and white trainers. It also looks good with my clog sandals (on the odd occasion it stops raining...).

H&M have some really pretty scalloped ballet pumps in both the pink and the blue of the flowers in the dress. They are massively comfy- slightly padded inside- and would look lovely if you are dressing it down. They say beige, but more pinky in real life. Can’t find the blue on the website but I only bought them last week so definitely still in stock.
