Boring Black Shoes (for school)

*Namechanged in case anyone works out what school my daughter will be going

DD1 is starting secondary in September and they have a very strict shoe policy.

The shoe must have a polished leather surface, but not patent, and be plain black with no decoration (this includes dots like you get in some brogues as well as bows, studs etc). No more than a 4cm heel/ 2cm sole, no ankle straps...

DD is currently having a strop about the sensible kickers I've suggested ("I'm not a toddler") and also the leather loafers ("I'm not 80...").

I have a budget of about £60. Any links greatly appreciated!

The girls here wear DM shoes

Not sure why that link didn’t work?

Or that one!

Search for Office Pointed Freddie Loafers- I think they fit the bill

Doc Marten’s Mary Janes or their original black lace ups: timeless classics!

NationalAnthem · 15/06/2019 20:51

DD could not go to that school - she has really skinny feet and for her first 4 years at school she had to wear Mary Janes - they were the only ones that fit and not at all cool - she hated them - how does your new school get away with this?

SavoyCabbage · 15/06/2019 20:52

DMs sole might be more than 2cm.

AJPTaylor · 15/06/2019 20:57

At the School dd is going to they wear kickers or dms.

TheBrockmans · 15/06/2019 21:06

DMs here too. They do an all black pair without yellow stitches. They last well too as long as their feet don't grow.

Kickers all the rage here- Home Counties
