Sulfate free shampoos and toothpastes

I’m looking for recommendations for good shampoos and toothpastes that are sulfate free - I know they are the ingredients that cause the foaming. I’ve read that sulfates can be harmful on coloured hair, and at least in the case of toothpaste, I think they are aggravating my propensity to mouth ulcers.

Shampoo formulas specially geared for fine, blonde hair and toothpastes with whitening properties are especially sought.

Thanks!

Sensodyne for toothpaste - read the label though, most varieties are SLS-free but some do have it in.

The following shampoos are really good and are voluminisng and sulphate free:

Pink Big by Soap and Glory (glorious scent too 🙏)
Charles Worthington Everyday Gentle micellar shampoo
Trevor Sorbie Thick and Fuller shampoo (from Superdrug)

I can only recommend a shampoo. I follow curly girl method and use Johnson's baby top to toe. It's recommended and much cheaper than the other free from ranges. It tends to smell better too.

I think Lidl own brand toothpaste is sulphate free. I

I use the Charles Worthing micellar shampoo and like that too

Re the toothpaste, yes the sodium laurel sulphate can cause mouth ulcers. Your best bet is to read the list of ingredients on the tube. Some of the best ones are from places like Aldi and Lidl so don't just look at expensive ones.

Pronamel for toothpaste and Pureology for shampoos.

Hask shampoo is really great. Recommended by Caroline Hirons who has your hair type.

I use Avon sulphate free shampoo. It's often on offer so very reasonably priced and it's done wonders for my hair. I was really sceptical when my friend recommended it but after a month I honestly would never go back. My hair is usually quite fine and lacking but looks so much healthier for it. I didn't realise you could get sulphate free toothpaste. I need to look into that.

I use Georganics toothpaste (they do a powder and a ‘soap’ and I love both). Also no plastic and no waste!

Wish I could find similar for hair!

I co-wash with a conditioner instead of using shampoo and my hair has never been better. It needs to be silicone free conditioner (and all your stying products do too) otherwise the silicone will coat the hair and make it greasy and heavy. You'll need to avoid silicone with any sls free shampoo, only sls will wash out silicone.
As for toothpaste, I get mine from Lidl, I think they're all sls free from there but check the label to make sure. Cheap as chips, and I haven't had an ulcer since I switched.

Thanks for all the recommendations! Would love to try Lidl toothpastes but I don’t have one near me. Will research the others. Thanks again. X

I use Maria Nila shampoo and Zendium toothpaste - both SLS free and really good.
