I’ve been persuaded that this is the way to go and wondered if I can pick the brains of the style and beauty gurus for some recommendations.

erm....... I'd like to help, but what has it got to do with style or beauty ? Confused
Surely you want the one that works best, or possibly is best value for money ?

They’re really bad for the planet. Get a bamboo one instead and don’t add to pointless plastic waste Smile

I did wonder what to post this under @BackforGood
I’d like to think of it as personal grooming so it fits under beauty, a bit like a Phillips Lumea.

Do you have any suggestions of a more suitable category for the question?

We normally get a half price one around Christmas time

I second Philips Sonicare, amazing!

I'm product testing the new Oral B genius X at the moment, it's incredible. You link it it an app and it tells you exactly where in your mouth you cleaned properly, where to improve etc etc. Lots of modes and it comes with a charging case with a usb for your phone too. Not sure on price but around £100-130 I would guess.

Wait til it goes on sale and get one. I'm getting us all one when they are available.

(If this sounds like a sales pitch, it's not. I'm an SEN TA but do loads of product testing)

Philips Sonicare is excellent

My dental hygienist has Oral B products for sale in her surgery reception including electronic toothbrushes, I pointed out that after switching from Oral B to Philips Sonicare I felt my teeth were getting a better clean, she agreed and even admitted that she used a Philips one!

Foreo hybrid. Needs a new head once a year and a charge once every 6 months. I love mine. I got the silicone cleaning spray with it.
