Which dress

First time posting (exciting) and looking for some advice.

I have a school ball tomorrow, James Bond theme and can't decide if I go with lacy long and forgiving black dress or fitted, recently fitting after losing baby weight, pink dress.

I think black is more "ball" type dress but pink is more "Bond".

Perhaps it'll be neither Blush

TIA

I think the pink one looks great!

wishingitwasfriday · 14/06/2019 17:46

The black one. I presume you're a teacher and the focus should be on those attending their prom? The Black one looks fab but also like you aren't stealing the attention.

Sagradafamiliar · 14/06/2019 17:49

You look sensational in the pink one.

TeaForTheWin · 14/06/2019 17:50

I would say the red but if you're a teacher then the black is more appropriate.

redexpat · 14/06/2019 17:51

Pink.

managedmis · 14/06/2019 17:52

Pink I'd say

What shows will you wear?

bigTillyMint · 14/06/2019 17:53

Pink one!

AdaColeman · 14/06/2019 17:55

I like the black dress best, it's a better fit than the pink, and I like the effect of the lace.
Have you perhaps got some drop earrings? Hair up or down?

kenandbarbie · 14/06/2019 18:01

Black, I think it's more bond as it's an evening dress, the pink is a cocktail dress.

lilpumpsmum · 14/06/2019 18:13

If it's a prom kind of thing and will be filled with students then definitely the black.

FizzBuzzBangWoof · 14/06/2019 18:13

Pink is more bond and more wow, looks fab on you!

Black is perfectly nice but much more forgettable

Grainfail · 14/06/2019 18:25

Thanks for all the replies - I'm not a teacher Smile
It's a parents ball and fundraiser for the school (primary).

I was a bit worried about the pink as I've not worn it in a few years but pleased there were no "definitely nots"!

Likely will wear with nudes shoes with a bit of a pointed rather than almond toe. I don't have many options here unfortunately.

I'm going to see if I can borrow one of those curly big hair stylers from my friend but probably hair down and maybe swept a bit to the side.

Thanks so much for all your help! Thanks

Ah, then the pink then Smile. Looks fab - enjoy!

Starbonnet123 · 14/06/2019 19:10

Definatly pink , it really suits you and shows of your figure . Have a great time whatever you wear

Fatkins · 14/06/2019 19:35

You have a lovely figure op!

I prefer the black one, but only slightly. Both would work really well I think with the right hair and accessories.

Which do you feel the best in? Or is that super unhelpful, as if you knew that, you probably wouldn't be asking us Grin?

carla1983 · 14/06/2019 19:35

OP you look fab in both dresses.

Yawninfinitum · 14/06/2019 19:36

Black

Grainfail · 14/06/2019 19:41

Thanks everyone!

Black is a bit easier to wear and there is a sit down meal so maybe I should take that into consideration. Nothing like a food baby in a tight dress....

Really appreciate all the responses everyone!

Which ever one you wear, have a lovely night! Wine Wine

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 14/06/2019 20:02

Black - the red is a bit lacking in subtlety (although it does look good on you). The black is gorgeous - really elegant. I know nothing about Bond, so no idea if either of them suits the theme better!

lhastingsmua · 14/06/2019 20:14

I like the black dress, the only thing I would say is that it might be a little bit too long.

I really like the pink dress, but is there a possibility that you might be slightly over dressed for a primary school event? Forgive me but I’m not sure what the event will be like - will others will be super glam & dressed up? If so, go for it! If not, the black dress could be more occasion-appropriate.
