Dressing for new job - oh help!

Oh help! I am about to start a new job where I am in the background but constantly on show, and I want to look smart and understated.

I would like to find a lovely classic knee-length dress with sleeves, comfy to walk in and sit in, in a darkish “winter” colour, black or charcoal or berry or cobalt. Not navy, which I somehow don’t suit. Not linen (unless jersey) and not polyester, and not knitted - something more suited for aircon summertime.

Help meeeeeeee! Budget £100 ish.

Banana republic has a nice berry mid sleeved T-shirt dress

Winser London ticks most of your boxes (esp the Miracle dresses) but are slightly over budget.

@inliverpool1 - I found it, it's lovely, and 25% off today - thank you for that!

Thanks @teddybear45 , some good possibilities there.

Thank you @stcharlotte , finding them on sale here and there, although my favourite one seems to be full price everywhere!

Oh that's annoying. Maybe think of it as an investment piece - timeless and will last for years!

wellhonestly · 15/06/2019 10:27

I'm sure you're right - I can probably scrape the money together ...

Boden has jersey dresses that might suit. If you can find them discounted.
