Tights with sandals?

Would value honest opinions!

I have a couple of smart events coming up (including a wedding) and I think high heeled sandals would look better than closed toes. My legs aren’t too bad but are very pale and I think natural tights would look better. Is it ever ok to wear tights with sandals?!!!

Not really with open-toed ones ..... you can get toe-less tights which may work though. Never have for me as my white toes are always a different colour and the sandal straps never fall where the tights end, so it looks naff.

But in the spirit of "life's too short .....", wear whatever you like & think looks fine. Anyone who genuinely has an opinion on the day clearly has nothing else to worry about!!

Bare legs will be fine and agree with sally Hansen or some of the tanning moisturisor if you want some colour

nope. never. but if you want to wear tights then you can get quite strappy light shoes that are closed at the toe.

Only if they are closed toe sandals or ones with just a peep toe so the open toe ones look ok.

I really don't get the 'not with open to sandals' Why the fuck not?
Does it really matter? Honestly, I have worn black tights and opened toed sandals and thought it looked fine. No one died in horror.

Thanks for your input everyone. I think I’ll have a look at some closed toe strappy shoes, see if they work. I’m just rubbish at accessorising so may come back to get some opinions

It definitely is a look to wear dark tights with sandals (although Not an easy one to pull off) but nude tights with sandals isn’t statement enough to be THAT look and just looks like you’re hoping people won’t notice you’re wearing tights

Don’t assume the weather will be fine! Always have closed toe shoes available unless you want squelchy feet all day. Or buy a midi dress then no one notices your legs. If you buy barely there tights and wear closed toe you will be just fine at a formal event.

I've worn open toe tights in this situation. You need one of the straps on the sandals to cover the point where the tights end and then it looks fine.

Leg makeup - sally Hansen airbrush legs is great but I'm sure there are others.

nude fishnets are best for the no tights look. It sounds weird but it works. I used to do this as a tween/teen in dance comps, all the celebs do it too.
