Dorothy Perkins sizing

Have a DP gift card that I'm trying to use before they go bust so thought I'd order some tights. I'm an 18-20, should I go for XL or XXL tights? Also is 100 denier too much for summer/Autumn?

Totally not answering the question but how do you know they’re about to go bust?

Morgan12 · 12/06/2019 21:18

They are going bust?

I've never bought their tights but I'm usually a 14 and buy size 12 jean's and leggings from DP.

They come up big I find - a bit like next.
Are they really going bust?

Makemeaname · 12/06/2019 22:01

Well not confirmed yet but the whole group seems to be in trouble so the advice seems to be use gift cards sooner rather than later.

Ah yes - just googled and Martin Lewis is advising to spend gift cards ASAP. That’s topshop too then as well as burtons.
There will be nothing left on the high street soon. There aren’t many Dorothy Perkins left as it is - but it has an online presence.

I'd also say their sizing is pretty generous.

100 denier - I'd wear on a particularly cold winter's day. Perhaps 40 on cool autumn days.

SolitudeAtAltitude · 12/06/2019 22:12

Imo it is spot on

Makemeaname · 12/06/2019 22:21

@jojo think I'll give it a miss then- only have 100 in my size. Not really a dress wearer but bought a few recently so need to find some tights.

I thought you could use the DP gift card at other shops too Op.
