False nail query - builder gel

I was gifted a manicure (gel polish and acrylic tips) and the lady used a product to give me false nail tips I haven't seen before. Having a Google I think it's called builder gel. (It wasn't like the stick on style nails I was expecting). I have been really happy with it and it's lasted for 3 weeks with no chips or peeling but is now growing out.

Can I go to any walk-in nail bar to have an infill style treatment and different polish. Or do I need to go back to the original nail technician?

Sorry of this is a silly question. I've never had acrylic or anything before.

Most nail techs won't infill Work they didn't do, they'll likely remove it and start again. If you don't want to pay removal costs and re-application you'll need to go back to the original tech x
