what colour nails should I go for on holiday? Help me decide

Hi

I'm going on a cruise next week and as per usual am getting my nails done (normally bitten to the quick as i'm a biter).

I love metallic jewel colours - and blacks and silvers.

But I also like to coordinate make up and nails with outfits.

Normally we holiday long haul in winter so its easy. I go for black/silver with sparkles on fingers and toes. They go with everything.

But Summer is confusing me. Black/silver seems to winter. But if I go for sapphire/emerald/red then it will clash if I have on a dress of the opposite colour.

French is a problem because it shows the bitten nails underneath and doesn't look good on toes - and I like them to match.

I'm out of idea.

Forget about matching and have what you like. It’s a bit passé to match fingers and toes anyway.

What about a neutral nude colour? Or a pastel grey?

Navy blue, forest green and maroon are good colours. I read somewhere once that they are universal colours.

Deep red on toes always looks great and glamorous. Fingers and toes shouldn’t match, in my opinion. I’d go for deep red toes and fingers just something joyful you’ll enjoy looking at. The more you try to coordinate the more hopeless it’ll be. You can’t get something thatll go with all your outfits! So unless you want to go for a nude (which I personally love on hands) go for something bright, pleasing and joyful.

I love red. I think it goes with everything. Or may be coral for summer?
