I'm a 31 year old mum, I've not had any time for shopping in last couple of years but I'm going on a UK holiday next week and want to get some sort of capsule wardrobe going. Can anyone help?! Where to shop, what would suit my body shape (pic attached!) I'm a 14 in most shops, sometimes a 12 on top. I've no idea where to start so any tips are appreciated!!!

Style advice please!

I’m a huge fan of Arket and &OtherStories. Arket use great fabrics. Both are on line and show their clothes well so you can get an idea of looks. I’m also a huge fan of Massimo Dutti. Sharper and less obvious than Zara. I would look at how Massimo Dutti put a look together and just copy that!

I’m a chinos person with shirts but I still think chinos or jeans, a decent T Shirt and a biker jacket will take you a long way! I cannot do boho long dresses but you might! I also saw a lady in a waisted printed cotton dress with a shorter style cardigan and Superga plimsoles the other day and she looked wonderful. Boden do this sort of look and they have permanent sales these days! Happy shopping!

Thanks, I'd never heard of either of those! 😊

I like Whistles, Toast, Jaeger, Jigsaw, Hush, White Company, Warehouse, Phase Eight, and Barbour or Joules for outerwear.

Ninkaninus · 13/06/2019 14:50

Oh yes also Boden for the odd thing, plus I buy from M&S a lot and also the supermarkets for some things (Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Asda).

Shoes, I’ve got loads but I’m looking at something from Superga, converse or Toms for the summer.

Chinos, cut off jeans and 7/8 or ankle skimming trousers.

Denim jacket to wear with dresses, blazer to wear with trousers.
