Which Babyliss big hair?

I've decided to try one. But I'm confused, there seem to be so many models. And there is a new one out, not sure what the difference is?

I've got long quite thick hair which is slightly wavy naturally. Any advice which one to get please?

My hair’s thick and wavy too. I got the new one for Christmas and it’s light years better than the original - of which I’ve had three!

Thank you, can you tell me the exact name or a link pls?

Thank you also does that one have the 50 or 42 head? Have you tried the bigger/smaller head? Does it make a difference in terms of ease of use and results?

It’s smaller than my previous ones. No idea how big the head is, sorry. It’s better for my hair and the results with all four I’ve had have been brilliant.

I have an old model one - but it comes with 2 sizes of head which I’d recommend - not just because of the difference in potential styles, but because in having the ability to remove the head, you can remove the hair that unevitably gets stuck in the mechanism to keep it working efficiently x

Ooh I've always wanted one of these but thought they'd just be a big tangled disaster! Would you rate them highly?

SrSteveOskowski · 11/06/2019 19:26

Have a look at 40somethingnotgivingupyet on Instagram. She uses it all the time and has done tutorials and videos before. There might be something in her highlights. Her hair is quite short, but she recommends the 42 as she says anything else is too big.

SrSteveOskowski · 11/06/2019 19:27

Sorry, it's actually 40plusnotgivingupyet, not 40 SOMETHING.

I'm on my fourth BBH/sheer volume.
I couldn't get the original black one when my last one stopped spinning so bought the purple heat sensitive one. This one spins at about twice the speed though and I my hair gets really tangled even though it's fine and straight. Check out you tube for the speed.

Having read the reviews, it seems that most people prefer the older black one. The bristles seem a bit sparse on the new one.

The big hair is an amazing product, I have brought countless hair products, and mostly been disappointed. I have the black one, big brush the best product I have ever brought for my hair. So easy to do, when you get the technique right. As others have said some great YouTube tutorials.

N0tfinished · 12/06/2019 11:25

I have the older black one and a newer pinky/purple one. Prefer the older one. My hair gets stuck in the new one, never did in the old

twosoups1972 · 12/06/2019 11:41

Should you use it with dry or damp hair?

OP posts:
Alsohuman · 12/06/2019 11:44

Damp. Unlike everyone else I prefer the new Big Hair.

Yogagirl123 · 12/06/2019 12:49

I use mine when my hair is around 80% dry.

Greenvalleymama · 12/06/2019 14:34

I bought the old one with both size heads second hand off EBay, it had been very lightly used. I really like it. I have thick, long-ish hair and the larger barrel is better for me but I do style the front with the smaller barrel. It really makes a huge difference to my hair. It's complicated at first but you get the idea pretty quickly. I use it every time I wash and dry my hair now as a finishing tool instead of GHDs
