Bought the Lacura Smoky eyeshadow palette today, it's bloody gorgeous! The colours are fantastic and they're highly pigmented. It was £5.99.

Also the concealer for £3.99. This is very very excellent. I used it to,conceal my under eye shadows and it works a great. Really brightens the area too. I'm going back tomorrow to get a couple more.

Liked the look of the lipsticks but there were no testers.

I tried the touche eclat dupe at Aldi and found it too thin and runny to give good coverage of dark circles.

BaconAndAvocado · 12/06/2019 19:41

crimson the concealer I bought isn't the touché éclat dupe! that ones been out for ages.

I think this one is new. I used it again today and I'm still xyremely pleased with it!

nelsonmuntzslingshot great, thank you. We don’t have an Aldi near us so I know now what to ask my mum to pick up for me.

nelsonmuntzslingshot · 12/06/2019 19:46

@scion123 you’re welcome. It’s great as a lip balm overnight too

UnicornMadeOfPinkGlitter · 12/06/2019 19:54

I quite like the vitamin c face wash and the pixi glow dupe is good for when I’ve not been organised enough to buy the actual pixi one, but I didn’t like the eyeshadows or the bum bum cream dupe. The benefit dupe blusher/bronzer wasn’t great either.

benevolentassassin · 12/06/2019 22:01

I can vouch for the rose oil - lovely on my dry and sensitive skin overnight under a night cream. I also use their cheap day and nights creams semi regularly.

I also have the smoky eye palette and found it pretty good for £5.99. Would recommend. And that 49p roll on deodorant is absolutely brilliant - so cheap and does the job better than any other I’ve tried, plus it doesn’t irritate my armpits.

benevolentassassin · 12/06/2019 22:02

Oh, and I bought the CC cream 2 years ago and really liked it. I can only use it when I’ve been out in the sun a lot though as the palest one (which I bought) is too dark for my fair skin otherwise.

magicstar1 · 12/06/2019 22:15

The charcoal face wash is amazing. I also get comments on how bright my skin is after I use it.

KaliforniaDreamz · 13/06/2019 11:44

Thanks Auld
i find their richer moisturising creams sting my skin but there is a light day cream that is nice looks similar to nivea in design.
i tried the nip n tuck dupe pads and no idea what they're supposed to do.

LoafofSellotape · 13/06/2019 12:27

Anyone tried the Q10 Nivea dupe night cream? On line reviews say it smells weird. Mind you,it's so cheap I can bin it if it's crap.

weleasewoderick22 · 13/06/2019 12:40

I did load but it really irritated my face and I had a bad reaction. Might be just me though...

LoafofSellotape · 13/06/2019 12:44

Lots of reviews saying the same about irritation,I have really sensitive skin,I'll stick with Nivea as I'm fine with that.

KaliforniaDreamz · 13/06/2019 13:04

Lord i have it (the night Q10) but not opened it yet. but i have the day one and it is fine for me.
perhaps the night creams generally are richer and that is too much for sensitive skin...?

the caviar one everyone raves about hurt my skin too.

TheFormidableMrsC · 13/06/2019 13:08

I love their Jo Malone copy body lotions and hand and body washes. I have a few Jo Malone fragrances and they layer up nicely, you can't tell the difference at all...

LoafofSellotape · 13/06/2019 13:39

The cavier one felt like acid on my skin!

ChihuahuaMummy1 · 13/06/2019 13:56

Yes the 8hr dupe is great I've bought 2 tubes

mindproject · 13/06/2019 13:58

Is that you Aldi marketing team?

mindproject · 13/06/2019 14:00

Having said that, I tried the new Aldi vegan sausage rolls and the vegan garlic mayo and both are very delicious.

I am a bit bored of the Aldi marketing team on Mumsnet though.

KaliforniaDreamz · 13/06/2019 21:16

Mind ha ha i don't think they need one with us lot gpbbling up their cheap dupes.
Loaf me too!

Candleglow7475 · 13/06/2019 21:57

I got the bb cream last year and had to throw it away, it smelled like it had oxidised. I’ll try the lipstick & eyeshadow I can find them though.

Namechangenecessity · 13/06/2019 22:40

I use the face cream (Cellsation ), the eight hour dupes, the midnight secret eye and face cream ( or whatever it’s called), the Liz Earle dupe and the Aloha bronzer. All very good !

Miniloso · 13/06/2019 23:31

The concealer is better than my old Nars one, I love it! Glycolic toner fantastic too, I prefer it to the Pixi one.

Echobelly · 13/06/2019 23:36

Thanks, will check out the makeup next time I'm there!

C0untDucku1a · 13/06/2019 23:42

goose1964 · 14/06/2019 12:14
