Holiday wardrobe essentials on a budget?

Hi, I've put on some weight after losing 3 stone and now my lovely summer clothes from last year don't fit Blush

I don't intend to stay this size so don't want to spend much on a holiday wardrobe at all.

I have a tankini that fits, denim shorts and denim short shorts. I have a couple of tops and a cotton dress. We will be doing a city/beach combo holiday.

Can anybody give me any links to essential/stylish holiday items they can't do without. Preferably fairly cheap as I hopefully won't be using them next year.

Thanks!

I would buy 1-2 loose shirts/beach coverups & a couple of pairs of loose fit trousers/palazzo pants.

Try primark first, they have lots of these. Stick to 1-3 colours for your wardrobe and you'll look well put together Smile

That's good advice because I'm silly with colours. I love bright colours but then always find nothing matches!

My friend did a long weekend away with no luggage other than a tote bag by mixing and matching clothes in red/white/blue - she looked great every day!

Sticking to a colour palette was going to be my advice too. That way everything goes with everything else.

I always do the red white and navy but there is a lot of creams/ white and khaki around this year which is a lovely combination. Make sure everything goes with a least three things.

What kind of style do you have?

crustycrab · 10/06/2019 23:55

Well, I've got to admit it's a while since I wore palazzo pants. But I'm happy to try new things. Think I'm a bit boring although I do like a dress and I'm happy to get my legs out. Tummy not at all. That's where my fat lies Blush

A decent pair of linen trouser. I just got a dark blue pair from sainsbury's! A lovely fit
