Another Birkenstock's question!

I've just bought the mayari sandal and finally have it in the correct size.

My question is did yours hurt your instep / arch to begin with?

They have an incredibly high instep and my left foot particularly is aching.

I know I need correction in running trainers for my gait as I tend to roll in at the ankle
These feel like they are correcting how I walk but god they hurt .

I'm in two minds whether to keep or return.

Anyone had similar issues to start with?

Yes when I had my first pair of Birkenstock’s I remember having the exact same problem. I persevered and my foot quickly adjusted (stopped hurting) and then I found them super comfortable. After that, subsequent pairs of Birkenstock’s didn’t hurt, even when new.

Oh thanks coco I like them and want to keep them but didn't want to make an expensive mistake!

That's reassuring! Ta !

Yes mine did too on my left side

Yes my feet ached so much for at least 2 weeks. They are much better now but still not the most comfortable thing ever...I think it will take me a while to break them in fully!

Yes. Mine hurt again this year the first time I wore them any distance, I think I get used to it over the summer though.
