HELP! I'm hosting an event at the weekend...

...and I accidentally forgot to lose three stone 😬.

So am rather fat. Not sugar coating it! Like a delicious donut..

I am a size 16, apple shape. I'm 5'8". It isn't a complete disaster, but I'm definitely not at my fighting weight.

It is my baby's baptism at the weekend and I'd like to look lovely for it, but will settle for looking alright Grin.

Any clever, stylish people who have any genius ideas in terms of outfits? I'm not doing any ridiculous diets between now and then, but want to make an effort with outfit, make up etc.

Best features are probably boobs and legs, but I don't like getting them both out too much, as I'm tall and it doesn't look good. I am in reasonable shape fitness-wise, other than being 20lbs overweight Blush and I'm in my mid thirties.

I suit warm tones.

Budget is £100ish.

Would be so grateful if anyone can suggest something Flowers.

I will leave the style part to others on MN as I am hopeless myself, but I would recommend starting a tan tonight. You are busy with a small child, so a quick fix is the dove moisture tan. Put it on for the next few nights and you'll have a lovely glow.
Congratulations!

Thanks and yes! I definitely look better with a tan. I'm tempted to book a spray tan, but the last time I had one, it was very patchy and orange, so I haven't had one since!

I may go and get some gradual stuff tonight.

Thanks bee!

So, I went shopping today and I bought... shorts 😂. Hear me out though, so I am a tall 16 with reasonably toned legs. They are longish (just above the knee), loose fitting, linen shorts. They are a rust colour and I'm thinking of wearing with a yellow, satin-y wrap top, a navy cardi and tan sandals or low black suede wedges (weather dependent).

Am I selling it? Hmmmmmm?

They were the nicest thing I tried on and I tried on as much as possible while the baby was getting very grumpy due to being stuck in the pushchair.

I also ordered no less than five dresses and tried them all on yesterday. All of them have now been returned! So...(naice) shorts?
