Eyeshadow - tutorial and colour recommendations

I’m going to a wedding this weekend and need to upgrade my eyeshadows as I very rarely wear it.

Can anyone recommend eye makeup tutorials on YouTube etc as I’m hopeless with applying eyeshadow & liner?

Also, what colour eyeshadow? I have dark hazel eyes, fair skin and brown hair. I’ll be wearing a navy & white dress. I don’t want to spend much either if I can help it as it’s just not a makeup item that’s a priority for me.

Do you have time to get yourself to a Mac? They will do an eye look for free if they have time/space and I find their eyeshadows by far the best in terms of pigment. They also have a handful of tutorials on their website but don’t know about eyes specifically.
It’s very hard to recommend a shade without knowing more about your skin tone etc. With navy and a wedding look you’ll want neutrals but there is a gazillion shades in that range. Sorry I can’t me more help
