Flattering bikini for menopausal tummy

Hey I’m off on a long weekend abroad in July. I have disabilities so am heavier than I’d like to and have lost a lot of muscle tone in my tummy so I have horrible overhang as well as crazy bloat from hrt...
I really want to wear a bikini as I’m a huge tan fan. The ideal would be something I could roll down for sunbathing and then pull up to hide tummy when upright.
I probably suit halterneck style top most of all. Something with a bit of shaping and uplift would be mega helpful.
Any ideas gratefully received!
Tia

Hi. Have you considered a tankini? You could roll the top up for sunbathing and wear it normally when upright.

Hi, yes I have done this before and it’s ok but I really wanted a bikin this time. It’s my first romantic break away with my bf. We swim together a fair bit so he’s seen me in one piece and tankini lots of times, I want something that makes me feel a bit more special and sexier than my normal daily swim wear! And don’t want the bulk of a vest/tank type top.
Thanks tho Smile

And thank you. I know I’ll have a good time regardless of my flattering/non flattering garms!

I'm a big fan of a high waist high leg bikini, they're really flattering, still sexy and not frumpy like some things that cover you up more. I was a bit nervous about all the extra leg at first, my instinct is to cover my thighs as much as possible.

Get a top half that shows a bit of cleavage that I'm sure looks great and will make you feel a bit more confident too.

Then I bought a really cute little coverup dress - again don't just get a massive thing that covers you up which is easy and more comforting to do, but you'll feel rubbish, get a little dress that pulls in at the waist or something that is flattering for your body.
Then I could throw that on if I wanted to get up for a drink etc the first few days before I was more relaxed just wandering around in bikini.

The other option that's quite flattering would be a cut out suit, get one that knots in the middle, covering your stomach but shows off your sides.

Or you know, love your body and don't care what anyone thinks just enjoy yourself, you're not worrying about their body, they're probably not worrying about yours either.
..I know that's easier said than done

  • that’s exactly what I’m after. I have an element of me which doesn’t care but having disabilities and odd body shape due to spinal condition really does make me a bit more self conscious. It’s easier to disguise in normal clothes but beaches are different . I just want to feel good about my body.
