Best foot file?

They really aren’t too bad at all overall but I have this pesky patch of skin around the edge of my heels and big toe that is always hard.

How do i make it soft?

I cream daily and currently using the soap and glory foot file a few times a day.
It’s the best file I’ve tried so far but nothing seems to be able to soften those little patches to my satisfaction!

Margaret Dabbs. Her emu oil is amazing too www.qvcuk.com/Margaret-Dabbs-London-Foot-Oil-200ml-%26-Foot-File.product.239069.html?sc=NAVLIST
It's not cheap stuff but will give you fabulous-looking feet. Is not in the same league as the Soap and Glory file that is so oft recommended. It comes with a replacement pad too.

BringMeTea · 09/06/2019 15:30

Third Margaret Dabbs.

Newton chiropody sponge is about a quid. Use it with a bar of soap, bloody marvellous.
Better than anything I have used.

Fucksandflowers · 09/06/2019 15:43

I’ve got to be honest, I’m not thrilled at the price of Dabbs...

This newton sponge sounds much more up my street.
Where can I get one from?
Boots?

I think I got mine from Body care but Boots might also stock them.
I have a couple of spares, if you can't get one locally send me a pm and I'll bung one in the post.

Definitely Newton’s sponge with flexitol heel cream. I get my sponges from amazon, I think it’s three for a fiver. They also sell them in my local hair and beauty wholesalers (paks).

Soap & Glory

handbaghoarderr · 09/06/2019 23:41

Boots essentials or something like that anyway, 5.99 and it's double sided.

Namaste6 · 09/06/2019 23:42

Margaret Dabbs. Yes it's pricey in comparison to others but hugely superior in my opinion.

Isthebigwomanhere · 09/06/2019 23:59

Newton sponges are a game changer

CutesyUserName · 10/06/2019 09:17

Another vote for the Newton foot sponge. Lots of results on Amazon, I've just chosen the first one to link to:

Footner twice a year
Soap and Glory in-between in the shower with natural soap rubbed on feet first.

I say this but TBH my feet are in a right mess having just taken up running.

ChicCroissant · 10/06/2019 09:45

I use this one, I've seen it in lots of places for just a few pounds. Grater side first, then pumice, then file. Works well for me.
