Looking for honest opinions on the parka and the commuter jacket? Think I’m swaying more to the commuter but want to know how flimsy it is and if I will get that much wear out of it? Pros and cons. Any opinions on the new winter parka would also be great, especially warmth rating! Thanks!

I love my commuter in the burgundy colour, although haven't really considered it for warmth. I went for the larger size and wore layers (including a Uniqlo ultra light down gilet underneath) on wet days last winter. One of my best purchases last year, waterproof yet stylish.

I love my Commuter! It's not especially warm so not a winter coat at all. It's very stylish though and keeps me completely dry. It's fine for Spring or early Autumn weather.

I have a parka and it’s so so useful. Keeps me completely dry, I’ve given up umbrellas! I am thinking about getting a winter one. Normal one isn’t very warm but I find that quite handy for this time of year when it can still be rainy.

Sorry it’s the mac that I have! Do wait for a sale though - I got mine half price.

Thanks. I think I want the winter parka out of any of them. And would love mumsnet to do another 40% off code Grin

I have the commuter in olive, a parka in storm and the navy city walker - all with the 40% off last year.
They are brilliant. Never need a brolly - they roll up to literally nothing so you can throw them in your bag and they never, ever crease.
If I were to choose one then I'd say the commuter - it's the one I wear the most but I honestly love and wear them all... a lot.
The attention to detail is exemplary - it's hard to appreciate how good the fabric and finish is on the website- despite the gorgeous models but they send out fabric swatches for you to have a look at.
They are an amazing British brand.

Just read back and realised I did not answer your question. They aren't warm - am sure the winter parka is but I have no experience of that. They are fully water and windproof though - I can vouch.
If you want to do British weather practical chic but aren't of the yellow sou'wester persuasion - you need one of their genius coats.
