Bra intervention- does this sound correct?

I've done a search and found lots of threads, but couldn't find one more recent. Apologies if this should be somewhere else.

I've just used the intervention method to measure. I'm a size 22 and measure:

41" under bust (40" pulled very tight, 42" comfortable) and 55" at the widest bent to 90 degrees.

Am I right that this makes me either a 40JJ or a 42 J? Marks and spencer put me in a 44F but it rides up at the back and the 42G I have the straps slip off at the shoulders all the bloody time. Constantly feel like my boobs are around my waist which makes me look much fatter than I am.

I would say 40JJ or 40K. Sister sizes are 42J/42JJ.

44 definitely sounds too big if it rides up. Straps slipping can also be a sign the back is too big (on the 42)

Thanks! so if I order a few bras in sizes 40J 40K and 42J 42JJ does that sound right? my boobs are quite flat and i've tried a 44G and they've been completely lost in the cups!

Style of cup makes a difference too. Depends where the fullness is. I don't like full cup bras and prefer balcony ones

44F sister sizes are 42G, 40GG
What are the cups like after scooping side boob into them? How much overspill is there?

The 42G i currently have spills a little at the top. The 44f contains all the boob but rides up hugely on the back.

Maybe try that size too, it's only 1 cup smaller than 42J

Excellent, thanks dementedpixie. I'm going to order 42GG, 40H, 40J and 42J from marks and spencers in the kind of bra I wear most days, just to see what the sizing feels like. Bravissimo doesn't seem to go over a 40 back size so can't order many from there. Might look into ordering from Evans or simplybe.

M&S miss out FF so sizing might be a bit off
