Would you recommend it? I have a John Lewis gift card and looking to buy a couple of new makeup products. Have always fancied this but don't want to waste £22 if I only use it once. Any other easy brow products you'd recommend?

I like it. Got it as a present but will probably re buy, it's really mascara for brows.
I fill my fair brows in with a pencil then finish with a bit of GB, it seems to last all day.

cardy1969 · 08/06/2019 11:13

Thanks. I bought a Revlon one which sounds similar before but it went patchy. Do you have to fill them first? I was looking for a quick and easy solution to eyebrows.

I really like it, I think it depends on what your natural eyebrows are like though.

If your brows are naturally full, the product will just tint them a bit and let you groom them in place.

If your brows are sparse or you reshape the with makeup, the product can help to make the final look a bit more natural as the brow hair will look more prominent.

YesQueen · 08/06/2019 11:26

I have, i like it
Also good is Barry M take a brow and the Anastasia Beverly Hills dipbrow gel

YahBasic · 08/06/2019 11:26

For quick and easy brows, have a look at Bobbi Brown instead. They have different products in a range of shades. For dark hair, grey is the best shade.

DrFoxtrot · 08/06/2019 12:02

I have Gimme Brow and I love it. I have fairly full brows anyway but this gives them a bit more definition and reduces any patchiness in my natural brows and the odd grey hair. I have shade 4.5 which is perfect for my dark brown hair, it's not too brown/ warm which I found with pencils.

When I buy a new beauty product from John Lewis I always ask that if I don't get on with it can I bring it back for a refund they always say yes and the few times I have taken stuff back it's not been a problem

livin · 08/06/2019 12:50

I have it and love it. I have sparse blonde brows and on a 'no make up' day I'll run some through to tint the natural hairs and make them look more full but usually I fill them in first and use it as a topper to make the natural hairs stand out. My arches are very sparse compared to the front of my brow so it obviously doesn't fill those in but it makes them presentable and more of a stand out feature by itself.

I used to be a massive fan, I get my grows waxed and tinted at benefit and used it to keep grows in check them then stopping making it for months, they eventually relaunched it with the silver packaging you have now, since the new imaginative found it dries out twice as qui, my was also a fan and we both commented how more frequently we replaced them so we switched to a Dior product. This was now been discontinued but it's replacement is this

Not tried it yet but looks ok

misscockerspaniel · 08/06/2019 14:04

I love it and use it every day, on its own. In fact, I love it so much that I have given it as Christmas presents to relatives in need Smile.I think it comes in three shades (light, medium and dark), so just be aware of that.

Starrynights86 · 08/06/2019 14:10

I really like it

cardy1969 · 08/06/2019 15:40

Mmm, I might ask to try it at the Benefit counter, see what I think.

Chottie · 08/06/2019 15:45

I love it too, ask the benefit consultant to apply it for you first of all before buying. I always ask for a mirror to hold, so I can see the exact technique used.

Starrynights86 · 08/06/2019 22:01

They used to small samples of it, that’s how it first tried it.

BlueMerchant · 08/06/2019 22:06

I got a mini one free from the counter.
I like it.

MountainDweller · 08/06/2019 22:54

I was gifted the gimme brow in a too-light colour but I liked the product and brush. I found the Bobbi Brown brush too big and the gel went all over my face (though I liked the clear gel, which had a smaller brush... think it's been discontinued Sad). My favourite brow gel is the modelco one but not sure if you'd find it in John Lewis.

cardy1969 · 09/06/2019 15:15

Off to John LEWIS next week to try out what I can Wink

WhereForArtThouBray · 09/06/2019 15:21

I like it. I use it on its own if I am having a natural look and with the precisely my brow pencil of I am, going full face.

anotherconundrum · 09/06/2019 15:25

I'm not a big fan as it does nothing to cover a little bald eyebrow patch I have! I have to use a pencil first, then the Gimme Brow which is just a faff.

HappyEverIftar · 09/06/2019 15:26

Another one here who likes it. Good colour on me (number 1 I think) with Auburn hair and stays put. I find you only need a little bit if your brows are on the full side, I'm so fair on the ends that taper off, I use it to balance out the main bit (I don't know what eyebrow terms to use for this!)

Jaxinthebox · 09/06/2019 18:28

I use the Bobbi Brown eyebrow powder first and then a swipe of gimme brow after for when I want 'all day/all night' make up and not have to worry. It stays put.

MinesaPinot · 09/06/2019 18:33

Yes I have. It's been my Go To brow product for ages but have recently been using Estee Lauder's brow pencil which (whisper) I think I might prefer.

DefinatelyAWeeGobshite · 09/06/2019 18:41

I used to love Gimme Brow but have since switched to Glossier Boy Brow which is really nice

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 10/06/2019 19:36

I love Gimme Brow.
