Are GHDs still the best? Looking for recommendations

My GHDs died recently after at least 5 years. Trying to save money, I bought cheaper ones (still cost me £50 but cheaper than GHDs). I wish I hadn't. My hair is absolutely fried at the ends which it never was with my GHDs. I wish I'd spent a bit more but can't afford to replace these now.

Been using GHDs for 14 years now, I wouldn't even bother with another brand. They do an excellent job, and I've straightened my hair for literally every single day of those 14 years...!! I have recently bought my 3rd set in that time so they do last a long time.

I went away from GHDs for a while and got a set for last Xmas and they are so worth the money. It isn't so much of a chore to do my hair, style lasts longer and hair is in better condition.

Thanks all! That confirms what I thought!
