I've been a member for over two years. I've had a couple of duds but on the whole the products have been very good and some are excellent.

LemonyLion · 06/06/2019 10:35

Ooh I'm seriously considering it, thanks for the recommendation. Am considering starting on the £5 per month plan and then moving up if it works out

Message me if you'd like a referral code for extra credit. ( I'd get credit too). My favourite BP items are the eyeshadow sticks in Brazillionaire, Wild Violet and Goldie, the Plantastic Cleansing Balm, the whole Japanfusion range especially the cleanser and serum and the retinol serum and moisturiser. I've tried lots since March 2017 but I always repeat buy these items.

Fishfingersandwich3 · 06/06/2019 12:45

I’m another long term member and also have found the products on the whole to be excellent. My personal favourites are the nail polishes (best I have ever tried, lasts a whole week, get the top coat and base coat set plus ‘supernude’), the candles (my favourite is Tuberose, almost identical to Diptyque Tuberuese), the One Powder Wonder and overnight balm with Retinol. You’ll need a couple of months worth of allowances though! I find you get a LOT more from your shopping allowance from the makeup items compared to skincare.

Housewife2010 · 06/06/2019 12:50

I really like the One Powder Wonder too, but I found that the Overnight Balm was wasn't suitable for my dry skin.

Likeamobvie · 06/06/2019 12:53

There are defo pros and cons. I think the products are really good quality, as pp said upthread there are a few duds it's mainly very good.
I did find it a bit restricting. Some months I wanted to buy loads because I was excited but I had to wait and some months I didn't want anything but I was still paying the £10 a month. Also be aware, when I was a member they didn't add VAT to the price of the product and the p&p was quite pricey so it worked out a bit more expensive.
Overall I spent £30 on nothing (subscription fee) and another £40 on products - it would have been cheaper to buy high end makeup / skincare.

Housewife2010 · 06/06/2019 13:23

I've been a member since March 2017. VAT has always been included since then but there used to be an extra picking charge per item which meant that postage could be about £6 + for an order. Now there's a flat rate of around £3 whatever the size. I don't order every month. I wait until there are a few things I want. The stock levels are annoying. Sometimes I've waited for a new item to be available and in the interim other items in my basket sell out.

Lamentations · 11/06/2019 19:25

I've just joined up on the £5 membership. They gave me a £50 bonus and I used Hannah Martin's HANNAHSENTME code for another £50 so I had £150 limit. I bought the powder mentioned upthread, the big powder brush, an eye crayon and vitamin C capsules, all of which I'm very pleased with. As soon as I placed the order another £50 limit added to my account, not sure why but I'm not going to question it.

I might lay low for a couple of months and then buy a couple of skincare bits. I like the look of the super healthy skin face cream and sleep oil and the face roller thingy.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 11/06/2019 19:32

I like the skin massager, and Plant cleanser and the powder.
Might order the fig perfume for the summer.

I hated the Vit C capsules, too silicone-y feeling.

Lamentations · 11/06/2019 19:55

I've only used one capsule but I quite liked the texture of it. Is silicone bad per se or do you just not like it?

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 11/06/2019 20:00

I just don’t like the feeling, that’s all I’m sure it’s not bad or anything, just a personal preference.

similarminimer · 11/06/2019 20:32

I was a member for 2 years and bought loads but didn't renew as I found their customer service dreadful and miles off the high end product they claim to be.

similarminimer · 12/06/2019 22:39

Also meant to say that I submitted s truthful but negative review of one of their products and it never appeared on line (or at least in the 3 months that I checked). So please take the customer reviews with a big pinch of salt.

XingMing · 13/06/2019 09:27

I've been a member a couple of years, mostly for skincare. Japanfusion toner is great (decant it into a spray bottle for economy) and I also like the Jeju hydrating lotion. Plantastic hand cream is wonderful. The Rummy Pink lipliner is my best lip colour match ever. I tend to stock up every couple of months. Have not had any service problems and agree the standard £3 P&P charge is progress.

Housewife2010 · 13/06/2019 09:46

I agree with the Rummy Pink lipliner. It's a good dupe for Charlotte Tilbury Pillowtalk. My first one had wood that was difficult to sharpen but my new one sharpens well. I also think the Japanfusion essence should have a spray top.

WhatMeghanWants · 13/06/2019 09:51

Just had a peek at the site. Definitely going to sign up - thanks for the tips!

WhatMeghanWants · 13/06/2019 12:25

Messaged you Housewife Flowers

I've just messaged you back. Hope you enjoy your order. You should definitely try the eyeshadow sticks.

CitadelsofScience · 13/06/2019 15:41

I signed up on Tuesday but my dd told me it was a swizz Hmm but after reading the thoughts on here I might start my membership because I couldn't decide if it was worth it and what amount to set up.

Is the yearly in one go £99 one a good deal or am I better off doing a monthly payment?

angrybird3 · 13/06/2019 15:53

I was a £10 member, but found I was spending more than I would have done IRL, or at least in real shops. I left and later re-joined as a fiver member which is far more acceptable - I just leave it a few months to get a good moisturizer (Super Healthy Skin is my favourite) or a few other things. Their tinted moisturizer is great. Their primer (All in wonder illuminating) smells appalling - I returned it. Nail polish excellent. Lips things.. OK I suppose. Eyeliners also fine. Very good mascara too - I have Uber volume boost and also have Massive fan, which is a bit claggy. I've used a few serums - I think I like Uber Youth the best (I'm 47, and it deffo helps with little crinkles and lines). I suggest you steer well clear of Plantastic Moisture balm - I may be using it wrong, but it comes off in little rolls of revoltingness throughout the day. I'm sticking with it, but would not have done if they hadn't introduced the mini fee of £5.
Hope that helps!

CitadelsofScience · 14/06/2019 07:34

@Housewife2010 I've sent you a message.

Almahart · 14/06/2019 09:14

I’ve had some great things and some average

I loved the moonlight radiance powder but they discontinued my shade which was really irritating

Stock control is woeful

Mascara smudged and one of the lip crayons I bought wore off in the middle inly which is never a good look

However, I have loved the perfume, the candles, the moisturiser in a black pot, the gel eyeliners and some of the lipsticks. Also foundation

So mainly good but i do think the lack of stock is baffling in what is supposed to be a reasonably high end operation

Almahart · 14/06/2019 09:15

The moisturiser is Qi Energy. Smells gorgeous

WhatMeghanWants · 21/06/2019 09:31

Received my first order if anyone is interested in a review. Thanks again for code Housewife2010

I went for the mini membership to give it a try and am impressed so far.

Nail polish is fantastic quality! I didn't love the colour I chose (Supernude - a bit pinky-peach for me) but will definitely be ordering others.

LOVE the eyeshadow sticks. Easily on a par with Laura Mercier and planning to order more.

Futurelipstick was pretty good texture-wise. Colour wasn't brilliant for me (Nothing Nude) but happy enough with it.

I also ordered the cleansing cloths which are great - super soft and seem to wash well.

All in all, I'd definitely recommend. The only issue for me that choosing colours online is always going to be a bit hit and miss.
