I’m going to be a maid of honour in a couple of months and have been tasked with choosing my own dress. The bride’s only stipulation - apart from the fact that it should ‘suit my personality’ - is dark red or burgundy, as she has some dark red detail on her dress and her fiancé is wearing a cravat and pocket square in the same colour.
What do you think of this? Is it ‘weddingy’ enough? It’s not a big formal do, so I didn’t want to go full-on bridesmaid, but don’t want to look too casual either. A lesser consideration is that I can see myself wearing this again.
For context, I’m 5ft 11 and on the high side of size 12. Similar hair colour to the model, but with paler skin.
Feel free to be honest - I’d rather have a negative response from strangers than have people I know pretend they like it if they don’t!
