Plain trousers exactly like pj bottoms - do they exist?

I don’t wear shorts and I’d love some cotton trousers that are cut just like pj bottoms but not with elasticated ankles. I’d like plain ones preferably in dark colours . I’ve looked everywhere and can’t find any approximate styles that are plain, cotton and without elasticated cuffs. Does anyone know if such a garment actually exists and if so where might sell them. Thank you.

I have just bought some linen trousers from White Stuff which are cut like you describe with back elastic and pockets. They are so comfortable.

Apolloanddaphne · 04/06/2019 13:34

They are called Maison trousers.

Thanks Apollo do the pleats not add too much fullness round the front?

No they don't. I am a plump(size 16) apple shape and they are flattering.

FreeYoHairin2019 · 04/06/2019 13:57

Oh wow, I’ll give them a try. I never try on anything with pleats for fear of them adding bulk.

If I'm honest I wasn't really aware of the pleats. I tried them on in a shop and hadn't seen the description.

Boden do a few styles like this too. Probably Joules and Monsoon too. And M&S

RuskBaby · 04/06/2019 14:08

Next - black jersey joggers £18, they have navy and patterned options too. Love them!

woodcutbirds · 04/06/2019 14:09

I found some in M&S. Really soft cotton jersey. Tapered but not elasticated. I'm wearing them now.

At the end of this entry she shows some tapered linen-mix trousers. I would describe them as straight legged. They are only 15% linen, then 35% cotton and the rest viscose. High waisted so no gapping at the back. I am pleased with mine and have ordered more. There isn't too much fullness at the waist.

Someone recommended these on MN recently. Am tempted...

MumUndone · 04/06/2019 14:21

H&M

I just bought some today!! They are exactly as you’ve described and they’re from Next. They aren’t elasticated at the bottom. I love them, so comfy!

Mimi these are the shape I’m after thanks. Will definitely try them. Ideally wanted cotton but think I’m not going to find them.

Cadburys they look good thanks but they only have them in pale blue which is too light ☹️.

Lands end do plain jersey trousers in various cuts, but I'd like some which are non jersey cotton, in a petite length. The ones I've looked at above aren't available in petite unless I've missed something...

TantricTwist · 04/06/2019 15:05

That's good to hear @woodcutbirds because I've just ordered some for the summer. I bought them last night before my 20% discount ran out, plus a dress.

goose1964 · 04/06/2019 17:09

Peacocks yoga pants, but only if you're tall I'm a 5'7" with long legs and they're just about wearable due to the length

FreeYoHairin2019 · 04/06/2019 17:15

goose alas I’m only 5’.

Mimi just bought 2 pairs of the ones in your link. They even had them in petite 👍🏻. They look surprisingly ok and you are so right they’re soooo comfy. Thanks for recommending them. I also have a pair of curved leg culottes on order from COS. I reckon they’ll be ankle length on me but I tried a similar style on in the store and they looked pretty good and lovely thin cotton.
