How to look stylish at a wedding without spending a fortune - tips please!

Whenever I go to a special event - eg wedding or races - I always spend ages thinking of an outfit, choosing accessories, thinking about hair and make up. I make an effort, but then when I get there it never feels like enough! Everyone else looks better and I just feel plump, scruffy and cheap. I have a wedding to go to next month, and would like this to change! So, all you lovely, glamorous people...how do you do it?!

Outfit - how to accessorise without going OOT. I think I know this, but struggle with colours of shoes, bags, what should and shouldn’t match, etc.

Hair - I can’t afford to get it styled professionally, how can I get it to look different to how it does every day?!

Make up - again, a lot of people I know get it done professionally, but it’s not for me. Are there any good YouTube tutorials for a natural look that won’t slide off my face after an hour if it’s hot?

Many thanks! Smile

Bumping for you.

I also have a wedding coming up so am interested in any replies!

I have discovered Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray to keep make-up on all day. I have oily skin and get shine within about an hour normally but this stuff is great. Was recommended on here, I brought the smaller bottle for £10 so I could try it before investing in the bigger bottle and it has lasted a while anyway.

That sounds interesting, I know you’re supposed to use primer but I don’t like too many layers on my face!
