Wiry hair in fringe

My hair is not dyed but very slowly going grey. My hair is a darkish blonde and the grey is hidden - it's underneath at temples. But now wiry hair is growing in my fringe, just the odd one. The colour change does not bother me (well it does, but nothing I can do about it if I don't want to dye it) but the texture does. Those hairs in my fringe stick out like they have static and spoil the look/look bloody silly. I pulled some of the worse offenders out today which is naughty of me and I won't do again.

When I wash my hair I always have to straighten my hair but the straightening has no effect on the stray hairs. The only thing I can think to do is try and condition my fringe, but as it gets greasy quickly I think that is a non-starter. Any suggestions to gain control over these wiry little buggers?

I thought your title said in the fridge!

I feel you. This is what I don’t get, people on here who’ve gone grey always say that their hair is so much softer and in much better condition than when dyed. My greys are like wire and stick out everywhere, I hate it!

Yes, mine are like somebody has rubbed a balloon on it, a few of the hairs are crazy! One thing that has marginally helped, get a firm toothbrush, spray flexible hold hairspray on it, and brush through fringe. Smooths most of it down, but not the solution.

Yup, spray some me hairspray on and use your hands to smooth them down.

You're not alone! I've just had a fringe cut back in and this has happened to me too. Hairspray and hope are my suggestions.....
