sunglasses & makeup?

When I wear sunglasses (even for a short amount of time) my foundation fades away where the sunglasses rest on my nose. Then it’s a pain to touch whilst I’m out, as it never looks quite right. Any tips to prevent this? Not sure how others manage to keep their makeup intact!

It doesn’t help that my skin is a bit oily.

Haha it’s so annoying! I’ve resorted to just not wearing them as much!

Do you use a setting spray OP? I had the same problem but now use Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray and my make up stays put much better/longer.

It doesn't happen to me, even when I have a full face for an event. (And I live in Aus so picture and outdoor wedding in the sun) Maybe it's the foundation you are wearing?

Aus84 · 03/06/2019 22:44

Do you use primer?

lhastingsmua · 04/06/2019 11:59

Yes, it’s probably my foundation (hourglass stick). I don’t use a primer no, always found it a bit redundant as I used to have dry skin which has suddenly become oily, so will have to try a new one! Any recommendations?

I actually have the UD setting spray, but have been using Mac Fix+ Matte instead, so I’ll switch back tomorrow and see how I go!

Thank you all!

I used to use hourglass and stopped for that reason. I still have the concealer stick but it's so heavy and greasy.

I use Smashbox photo finish primer and Stila stay all day foundation. The foundation is very pigmented so I find I don't need to use a thick layer.
