Using wrapping paper as wallpaper

Is this possible? I've found some wrapping paper that I love and I can't find an equivalent as wall paper that's not £180 a roll so wondering whether to give it a go. Has anyone tried this?

I don't think it would be strong enough eg tear easily, not soak the wallpaper paste sufficiently

Yes, it will tear when damp.

Thanks. Guess I had better keep looking then!

I didn't think it would work, so googled - and found several hits, e.g. jonesdesigncompany.com/decorate/wallpapering-with-gift-wrap-tutorial/

It is doable, it just takes care.
Have a look on pinterest for tutorials.
