Need one that does the job but doesn't sting and isn't greasy.

Cityblock

m.clinique.co.uk/product/1661/6236/sun-self-tan/sun-protection/super-city-block-spf-40?gclsrc=aw.ds&&gclid=CjwKCAjw583nBRBwEiwA7MKvoDpdZ3X80PD9cwKqbZt-MQpZcK40A51d2JxA4Tq1FfP4uy1QSf99qhoCO_wQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

Maybe not, Confusedargh it’s so confusing.

Don’t want to use something that’s giving me false protection.

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 02/06/2019 12:50

I’m not seeing the UVA symbol in the picture, but maybe someone who has the bottle can check? I did a google search but I only found info from 4-5 years ago (when they didn’t have the UVA circle) and they could have updated the formula in that time.

Arct1cTern · 02/06/2019 13:15

Going to err on the side of caution found a thread from last year discrediting it.

vivideye · 02/06/2019 13:17

The body shop. Everything else gives me spots. And it's vegan.

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/06/2019 13:32

I’m trying Altruist next, it’s only sold from the manufacturer and not tested on animals. Apparently non greasy.

A lot of these mentioned are sold in China and have been tested on animals.

Don’t google how they test sunscreen on animals, it’s not something you’ll forget.

Delatron · 02/06/2019 13:41

I love Altruist! It has the ultra UVA protection and is cheap! Stock up though as they often have stock shortages. Formulated by dermatologists and they donate some proceeds to charity.

WorkingItOutAsIGo · 02/06/2019 13:50

What a useful thread thank you!!

Redcrayons · 02/06/2019 13:58

Placemarking.

BlackPrism · 02/06/2019 14:04

Lancer is fantastic

BelindasGleeTeam · 02/06/2019 14:08

I'm very allergic to one sunscreen used so I use Korean mineral one. It's AMAZING.

Etude House sunprise light airy finish.

Lots of people swear by Biore one too.

The East Asian sunscreens are far better than ours.

Arct1cTern · 02/06/2019 14:25

I’m a bit wary of not being abject I read the packaging on the Korean ones.

The Altruist seems to be sold on Amazon bytvtgere a couple of strange reviews.

The Murad one looks good but it’s £££££££.

AwdBovril · 02/06/2019 14:32

I use Biore UV aqua rich watery essence on a daily basis, except if I'm going to be outside all day and/or get wet, in which case I use the LRP Anthelios. Both very good, it's just that the LRP one is a bit more of an "outdoor" sunscreen IYSWIM. I only skip sunscreen if I'm ill & definitely not going outside at all at any point. I also wear a hat literally every day.

Banhaha · 02/06/2019 14:35

@AwdBovril, I've heard good things about Biore UV aqua rich watery essence, where do you buy yours from?

Iloveredwoods · 02/06/2019 14:36

Cetaphil is good - my skin is really sensitive and it can tolerate it.

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 02/06/2019 14:44

I tried Etude House Light and Airy after recommendation on here. It really, really doesn't suit dry skin, it felt as though it was sucking any moisture out of my face and I ended up quite flakey. So it might work well for someone with oily skin. I agree with Art1cTern that not being able to read the packaging isn't great. I'm also not convinced that it can genuinely be both mineral only and factor 50, I had always thought that mineral only could only go as high as factor 30-ish.

I tend to go Australian for my sunscreen, I find that they are reliable and less likely to cause irritation. I'm currently using Natio for Men which is great for my dry skin as it's a moisturiser with factor 30.

Arct1cTern · 02/06/2019 14:45

Which LRP?

Miniloso · 02/06/2019 14:46

Body Shop skin defense, it’s amazing, very light & clear on the skin. Great for putting serum underneath too if you want.

PerfectPeony2 · 02/06/2019 14:50

Another vote for the body shop one!

www.thebodyshop.com/en-gb/face/moisturisers-with-spf/skin-defence-multi-protection-essence-spf50/p/p001071

It’s worth buying the 60ml. There’s always voucher codes online for body shop stuff too so I never end up paying that price!

KingaRoo · 02/06/2019 14:51

I like Heliocare advanced gel spf 50. I have very oily skin and prone to breakouts but can wear this under make up all day without looking shiny.

BelindasGleeTeam · 02/06/2019 15:33

Mineral can definitely be 50+, there's plenty about, including the Australian SunSense sensitive one.

BroomstickOfLove · 02/06/2019 15:39

Do you put it on under or over moisturizer? I've just got the Bioré one, and I'm not quite sure when to use it.

saveyourkissesforme · 02/06/2019 15:41

Bodyshop. I changed from Biore when they changed their formula a few years ago. Bodyshop sinks in nicely and sits well under makeup.

BelindasGleeTeam · 02/06/2019 15:41

I go: serum, moisturiser, sunscreen.

Then dry my hair and give it a bit to settle in.

Then make up.

KingaRoo · 02/06/2019 15:47

I use moisturiser first and let that sink in for a few minutes. Then mix a drop of foundation into the suncream. I've found that works better than putting foundation over suncream and lighter coverage for summer too.

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/06/2019 15:50

Moisturiser first but give it a few minutes to fully soak in, then put sunblock on.

If it rolls into into little balls the moisturiser needs more time to soak in.
