SHIT! I have an actual bald patch :(

I posted a few days ago about drunkenly taking out my hair extensions but I can’t bloody find the post.

I’ve just put my hair in pigtails to sleep and thought I would try take a photo as it felt so sparse at the back. There is a massive bald spot

It’s my own fault as I pulled out the massive tat that the hair extension had made, but I’m horrified and just want to cry. I don’t think it’s noticable with my hair down, though it feels much thinner, but I am completely paranoid now.

Will hair grow back that’s been pulled out? I don’t even know why I’m posting, except to share my fucking stupidity.

I was once attacked and huge chunks of my hair were pulled out. I had a couple of those that size, it all grew back, the patches were covered within weeks. After that I got a shortish hair cut. You'll be fine in six months or so, when it will have grown back to shoulder length.

Don't panic, it should grow back. It's in a good place really, it won't be noticeable unless you wear pigtails!

Yes it will grow back. I once had a burn injury to my scalp and even then, over time, my hair grew back.

Oh Shitpark I’m so sorry that happened, I hope I haven’t been insensitive. I panicked when I saw it and posted without thinking

I’m going to do my hair tomorrow and take some photos from behind to see if it’s noticable with my hair down. DEFINITELY no pigtails in public (though I’ll be honest I think that’s a wise move for me regardless!)

Thank you for the reassurance about it growing back everyone. I am gutted but it’s my own bloody fault which is worst part.
