Next linen dresses - this years

Has anyone tried the next linen dresses this year and can give a review?

I’ve worn them for the past few years and just looked online to get another one. There seems to be two types: a shift dress with a high ish neck and a crochet/lace panel and a v neck t shirt dress with sleeves.

Not sure I’m keen on either but good to hear views!

Don't know about this years ones but the same ones as the last few years are definitely in the shops. They have a v neck, pockets and a v back with a strap across. They're fab.

I tried one on I looked awful in it, it made me look like a tree trunk

I don’t like any of the colours or prints this year so swerving unfortunately.

I've been looking at this years on the website and they just doesn't look as good as last years from the pictures, I loved last years with the v back and pockets. Sorry I realise this is no help to you.

Thanks - yes it’s the v neck sleeveless with strap across the back I like, odd they’re in the shops and not online though

I was looking for a black one like last year’s, and haven’t found them in several (large) Next stores and assistant in one said they were different this year. I tried the one with the crochet panel but you can see my shorts (anti chub rub essential) through the panel. It’s a shame, the patterns were a bit ubiquitous but I liked the black, navy and white ones.

Yes I loved the navy and black ones too. Never tried white and was fancying it this year. I was wondering about bra visibility through the top crochet panel too - although I usually wear a skin coloured bra this should be ok.

George at Asda are doing a cheaper version. The linen is a bit more rough though.

They look shapeless online, any more fitted around?

Are there any black ones available in any other shops?

I'm after a nice black sun dress, linen or otherwise but one that fits nicely.

It’s really nice. I got long.
I’m 5.6, large 14, big boobs, big tummy, no hips or arse (typical apple) and it’s flattering on.

Also the crochet panel has a backing so nothing shows through

They seem to have changed their design. The one with the back V and strap with front pockets is the older style. This year, they have the mesh front and hidden pockets. They seem thicker this year.

How are they for creasing? I love the idea of linen but look a crumpled mess after about 5 minutes. Are they less creasy, being a linen/viscose blend?

Regrettably this year's v neck ones are too low cut

Last year's v necks were fine

The are a linen blend - creasing isn't that crumbled sleeved in look

High necked one with crochet decoration in fine and cute without being too girly

They don’t crease that much - need ironing obviously but don’t end up a crumpled mess

They don’t crease-they are really nice to wear actually.
