Girls weekend Vilamoura. What to pack?

I have a long weekend break coming up with my friends but have no idea what to pack! Never been there before so not sure what the 'vibe' is.
I'm quite limited anyway because I can only wear trainers and I'm worried I will look out of place. Help!!!

Me!

Get some long pleated skirts to wear in the eve - with white trainers - if you can only wear them.

Wear with silky t shirts.

Day time, little summer dresses and a pair of shorts with a decent vest?

Give us more info of your shape/style/taste

I am 51 and my friends describe me as being stylish and I'm 5ft 5 and quite slim

Today I'm wearing joggers and a relaxed top, think Hush style

Do you have different types of trainers? Can you wear different styles?

millstonegrit · 01/06/2019 12:20

Thanks Weirdlegs. Just been shopping and took your advice and bought two long pleated skirts and some tops. They look fab and the young assistants even commented how good they looked. Yes just about all I can wear are trainers Sad

I've been there & it's going to be quite hot!

So you might want some pretty sandals for the evening.

millstonegrit · 01/06/2019 17:49

Would love to wear sandals but after having two toes amputated my days of wearing sandals are sadly over. My left foot now resembles that of a budgie! 😀

We go regularly. I think it’s a very classic chic resort with not many English. Lots of Portuguese people who dress in classic outfits. Lots of white jeans, blouses and long dresses and skirts. During the day it’s usual beach wear - shorts, vests and sun dresses.

Sorry to hear about the toes OP x trainers should then be fine

WeirdLegs · 02/06/2019 10:15

Ah, so glad it worked out - trainers are perfect and very trendy at the moment.

Sandals are hard to wear anyway - not very comfy for the most part. Plus you have to make sure your feet are 'summer ready' Hmm and feet are rarely attractive Grin

You could try those espadrille shoes that are around - lighter than trainers?

Have a fab time - I love Vilamoura.

justaweeone · 02/06/2019 21:27

If you do fancy a change from trainers

Yes some flat or wedge heel espadrilles would work well, they're everywhere at the minute and they have a closed toe.

I bought these flat ones from H&M in black/ natural stripe and a red pair but there are other colour options. The wedges are just an example from H&M but there are loads around and they have a classy, summery vibe which is perfect for Vilamoura.

We were there at Easter, love it!
