Supportive flip flops?

MumbleLumble · 31/05/2019 11:20

I'm going to florida soon for two weeks and really want some nice flip-flops or sandals to wear. I have comfy trainers, but there are a few outfits which won't go with trainers.

There will be quite a lot of walking involved so I need something slightly supportive and comfortable. I don't mind spending a bit on a decent pair or two. I'm in my twenties and need them to be stylish too. Does such a pair exist? Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Watching! For my Florida hols. :)
I’ve heard fitflops are the way to go, but trainers rather than sandals.

Sorry, clicky link didnt work. These are good from QVC.

I like Tevas, I usually live in trainers so struggle with any other footwear, this are the closest I've found. I only go for the plain colours as the patterned ones aren't my style.

Thank uou for all the suggestions so far. I will look them all up.

I have worn Birkenstock’s around Disney with no problem.

I also have these

CutesyUserName · 31/05/2019 14:29

I've just bought these www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07JHLT46W/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?psc=1&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&ie=UTF8 because these I bought last year were so comfortable (and super blingy) www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B071XFG3TW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?psc=1&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&ie=UTF8 I might also have them in black :)

Fitflop. Very comfortable, good arch support and you can walk in them for hours.

There are a huge number of lovely styles to pick from.

justasking111 · 31/05/2019 14:32

I love my croc flip flops walked miles in those with no issues.

MumbleLumble · 01/06/2019 09:36

Lots of votes for flit flops! I think I like the plain black ones with the back strap. £30 isn't too bad either.

You need to try them on as sizes are not always consistent. So if you can’t try before you buy I would buy one size up as well (unless you have very narrow feet in which case you might be okay).

rosie1959 · 01/06/2019 09:42

I usually always buy Moshulu never had an uncomfortable pair yet

Hollowvictory · 01/06/2019 09:43

I wore fitflops for florida and they were great. Take 2 pairs so you can vary.

Chosennone · 01/06/2019 09:44

Fitflops are seriously heaven! I ciuld walk for miles in mine as the arch support is a dream. They are worth the ££ promise.

Jon65 · 01/06/2019 09:46

I wear moulded flip flops by crocs or rubber birkenstocks, i cant wear totally flat shoes due to plantar fascitis and both of these are quite supportive.

Hollowvictory · 01/06/2019 09:49

I do also wear the moulded crocs flip-flops they are good for beach and water park but something with a more supportive sole needed for florida

Thinkle · 01/06/2019 10:45

I’ve recently picked up some sketchers sliders and they are obscenely comfy

slalomsuki · 01/06/2019 11:01

I did Florida theme parks in sketchers slides. Very comfortable and easy to walk in and I prefer Sketchers to Fitflops.

Mayari birkenstocks get my vote
