Rubber band type ponytail bobbles?

Does anyone know whether this type of bobble (photo not great but they’re like small, clear elastic bands) are more/less likely to break fine hair? I’ve bought them for DGD who has very long, fine, slippery hair and all normal bobbles quickly slide down and fall off any attempts at ponytails or plaits. The woman on the till said they’re gentle but am not sure she really knew. I don’t want to give them to DD if they’re likely to break DGDs hair.

It’s all about how you remove them from the hair really. If that’s fine gently it would be much better. My daughter just yanks them out taking half the hair with it!

If these are the tiny size ones these are a right pain to get out and would probably snap her hair more. We use the same make but the large black ones on DDs fine hair and they're ok.
