Hair styling

On a whim I had my hair cut shorter on Saturday. I asked for a long inverted bob. I got a short bob, a bit too short at the front to be tied back and without the weight it's gone all fly away. The hairdresser didn't dry it and by the time I got home it just looked like a complete dog's dinner.

So I hate it but it will grow out. In the meantime I need something I can put in my hair so that it doesn't fly up in static, ideally something that would let me scrunch up the back where it's a bit curly fit a bit of interest and so I don't have to use a hair dryer to dry it everyday (I'd forgotten why i like linger hair - it's less maintenance!).

Any suggestions for a miracle product??

Just giving this a bump for you, OP. Flowers

I think you should go back and ask to see the manager.

@Soola I could do but realistically it will be a couple of weeks before I can get back into town to do that and I don't think the manager works Saturdays anyway. And I'm not sure what I'd be asking for - I don't want a hair cut (I've just had one and it needs to grow out - I get my hair cut every 6 months or so, so next time I hope to get one that works better). I'm happy just to chalk this up to experience (it's only a hair cut so in the grand scheme of things it's not a big deal to me) and just buy a shit load of product to squirt into my hair. Hell, maybe I could try colouring it at home for a change??

Not really a miracle product but what you probably need is something to add weight.

I use garnier hair food , after I put it in I let my hair dry for half an hour then use a blow dry brush to sort it out. It takes 15 minutes to dry. I finish with a little soap and glory serum for shine.

I know you said that you didn't want to blow dry , but the reality is that most short hair needs styling. My short bob looks like shit if I let it completely air dry.

Also, you could try the curly girl method if you have a wave to your hair but don't want to blow dry.
